Nat & Jay

NGA & Bar Rochford

Nat and Jonathon’s story has travelled the world, but Canberra, and Bar Rochford in particular, has always been their anchor. It’s where their first date unfolded, and years later it was where they chose to gather their people and celebrate the love that carries them each step.

By then Italy was home, but it made perfect sense to return to Canberra to celebrate with the community that had shaped them. The National Gallery’s Sculpture Garden set the scene for vows under autumn light, before everyone spilled into Bar Rochford — where it all began.

The night unfolded with the same rhythm as that very first date: food and wine, music and dancing, and the sense that everything that mattered could be squished into a wine bar. Weddings are at their best when they feel like home — and for Nat and Jonathon, that meant art, old friends, and a city that quietly held their story all along.
