When we close our eyes and think of what a modern, cool wedding in Canberra might look like, Alice and Geoff’s celebration at Monster Kitchen and Bar steps out into the light . Unfussy, a touch of flair and a swell of collective effervescence, somewhere between an indie romance and a noir daydream.

They dropped their vows to the roar of their biggest fans in the Mosaic Room, then rolled straight into cocktails, laughter, and long tables overflowing with warmth and love (and exquisite florals by the geniuses at Spiral Botanicals). It all felt more dinner party than wedding reception, exactly as intended. Every moment had its own rhythm: easy, confident, and a little bit cheeky.

Later, they slipped down to nearby speakeasy High Jinks for a moment together and a few portraits, because of course they did. Velvet booths. Low light. Nectar of the gods in hand.
